Fantastic VPN provider! I’ve been with Nord for a long time and I though I should at least try other providers to see how they compare to Nord. So I tried popular more expensive VPNs (a lot more expensive) and to my surprise I didn’t feel they were any better. NordVPN offers nice apps, a lot of servers and features. It doesn’t log your IP address, VPN app prevents dns leaks by default. NordVPN offers fantastic speeds for streaming, it can even unblock Netflix (most VPNs cannot bypass proxy error). It provides everything a VPN company should provide for a relatively low price.
I wanted to wait with writing my review because I wanted to test it more. My friend recommended nordvpn to torrent at school. So I bought it half a year ago. Nord is performing better than my last vpn provider, that’s for sure. No complaints so far, the pricing is quite low comparing to some other leading vpns. The apps are not bad at all. Nordvpn works great. They have a lot of torrenting servers and good download speeds. I use torrents to download games and other stuff, but I had to use a VPN because my internet provider is pretty strict. I don’t disconnect from nordvpn when I am gaming because I don’t feel that it impacts performance (but I connect to a vpn server in the same city as I am). I’ve heard from other gamers that they cannot use other vpn providers because of the performance issues, so I guess it depends on your vpn provider.
Anyway, nordvpn has been pretty reliable so far so I can certainly recommend it to others.
Got nord subscription a few months ago, no complaints yet. I only use it to unblock Netflix for now when I travel, but I like that it provides some level of privacy too. I travel which is why I spend much time at the hotels. I know that hotels are notorious for blocking vpn connection, but nord has a workaround this issue. I recently travelled to China for work. I setup NordVPN before I left, but I wasn’t sure if it was going to work because I’ve read so many stories that VPNs are blocked there. NordVPN worked just fine. The speed wasn’t incredible, but I think because local Internet speeds weren’t that good and I connected to the US server that is very far from China itself.

I mainly use NordVPN for streaming and I am happy with the performance. Mainly for Netflix, Amazon Prime and live streamings of sports events. I am not sure if it slows down my Internet because I never speedtested it. Based on my observations I don’t notice any issues. I can recommend NordVPN to others.
I use NordVPN for torrenting, download speeds are really good, I barely notice any difference comparing to normal internet connection. But upload speed is just terrible so you can forget about seeding.

I didn’t use other vpns to compare, but i don’t see what’s so special about nordvpn. i didn’t really understand how to install a vpn and which server to use, contacted support, after emailing about a billion times back and forth i finally got it to setup, but it was too complicated for my liking. now i have the app running and i don’t do anything. i think it connects by itself.
NordVPN does exactly what it says, it protects your security. I checked for IP leaks, no leaks. I tested their kill switch, no leaks. I’ve been using NordVPN for heavy torrenting for about 2 years now, no piracy warnings from my ISP. NordVPN is also cheap enough and fast.
Router setup is a bit too complicated, I wish they had an app for every router haha, but it was well worth it. Customer service was very helpful and patient. NordVPN works without interruptions, streaming speed is good. Overall I can recommend NordVPN to others.
Bought it for torrenting, the speed is very good. I like the VPN app too. Just to be sure though, if I use kill switch at all times and never run utorrent before vpn connects and after it disconnects, can I be sure that I won’t receive a piracy warning from ISP?

Disappointed. I have google fiber internet, my regular download speeds are about 400-600 Mbps. Nordvpn is nowhere close, the best I can get with VPN running is maybe 100 Mbps. My search for a fast vpn continues.

I bought NordVPN to use on school wifi. My school blocks a lot of websites and streaming services. I can now watch Netflix without any issues. Using NordVPN for almost a year. The system is stable and fast when connecting to countries that are close. I can see it gets a bit slower when connecting to countries that are far away. how easy is this to set up on a Windows 10 laptop. I’m not really very tech savy, am disabled and live alone so I am looking for something that will sort of install itself. As I said I am disabled so I don’t get out very often and spend most of the day on my PC, and quite a bit of time on the internet. Use US Netflix quite often so need unblocked access, maybe even a dedicated IP address.

Vernon, NordVPN app is very user friendly. You only need to download the app and it will take care of everything. Once the app is installed, you open it, click on the server of your choice and hit connect. Really that simple! If you’d like to disconnect from VPN, you click “Disconnect” and you’re no longer sending your traffic through VPN servers. It’s almost like to connecting to WiFi when you choose a network from the list and hit “Connect”.
I can confirm that it works with Netflix. But you need to ask support which servers to connect to.
Too bad NordVPN doesn’t have port forwarding. I am switching to PIA because I need it, but I personally very much prefer Nord. I wish Nord had port forwarding 🙁
I’ve tried lots of VPNs, but I like NordVPN the most. It has the most convenient interface that is easy to use. I don’t notice speed difference when I browse the web and stream media. I do notice some loss in download and upload speed with torrenting, but nothing to fret about. I also noticed difference is speed on different servers so I contacted NordVPN support. They suggested I connect to the server that performs best, problem solved!
If you are looking for a no logs VPN to bypass internet censorship than NordVPN is a great choice. They don’t keep logs, I use their double encryption feature too which I think is great, and VPN over Tor is the best. I don’t think another VPN provider offers any of these.
